During the daunting COVID pandemic the company had been continuously involved in the process of creating awareness among its workforce and taking care of the needs of the non regular workers by providing ex-gratia during the lockdown period to enable them to tide over the crisis. The company has taken the responsibility of vaccinating the workers and their relatives and is continuously striving to help the society to wade through the crisis.

We have contributed clothing and food to people effected during recent floods in Tamilnadu. Also whenever a disaster strikes we make it a point that we contribute to the Chief Minister’s / Prime Minister’s fund for disaster relief. Apart from our direct contributions we have also partnered with our Textile Associations to contribute to the Government in times of disasters.

Premier has been a public spirited company since inception and has donated towards education , healthcare, disaster relief and other social causes. Two prominent examples are the Valavadi Narayanswamy Cancer Center, and the Indoor sports stadium in Stanes School.

A Cancer Center was named after our founder’s father Valavadi Narayanswamy in one of the leading hospitals in Coimbatore – G Kuppuswamy Naidu memorial Hospital in 1957. The oncology department of GKNM hospital has been one of the forerunners of cancer care in South India. Well known in the region for its ethical cancer treatment and empathetic patient care. The cancer care services have benefited more than two lakh cancer patients and their families over the past 64 years.

Similarly Premier had constructed an indoor sports auditorium in Coimbatore’s oldest school Stanes. Premier’s CSR funds are being spent in multiple causes including education, hunger alleviation, medical relief and helping in combating chronic disease and addressing environmental issues by partnering with various trusts and other established associations.

The company has been continuously contributing to the ecology by undertaking various projects in and around its unit locations. One such project which was successfully completed by the company was desilting the Ramanaicken lake, Peddachoodapuram Lake and Chinna Eri (lake), Choodapuram in Krishnagiri District. Our efforts have increased the water table in and around the area. More such projects are planned and we are continuously partnering with the local administration for such implementations.

One of the primary objective of our CSR initiatives is to provide education facilities to the children belonging to the down trodden society to uplift them. Various initiatives have been taken by our group to improve the infrastructure facilities of government schools around our unit locations. Projects like building Toilets, class rooms, white washing the school premises, providing lab facilities, building new class room blocks has been done under our CSR programmes.

Through various implementing agencies we have been contributing for the well being of the orphaned children and old women care. We have also been contributing to trusts maintaining Home for Mentally Challenged Women, providing Education to the under privileged, tribal Children, engaged in slum development, providing special education for financially weak children, etc. Our aim has been to educate the poor and providing them good environment to live in.

We make it a point that the villages near our units are developed for the betterment of the people living there. We have taken up certain projects like providing barricades in important junctions connecting the village, providing security cameras to local police stations, etc.
